Nicoson Inverted Bucket Steam Trap
Introduction –NICOSON Inverted Bucket Steam Trap
An Inverted Bucket Steam Trap is a mechanical trap operating on the difference of density between steam and water. The mechanical principle of Inverted Bucket Steam Trap is leverage system multiplies the force provided by the stainless steel bucket to open a valve against the pressure. An Inverted Bucket Steam Traps discharge the condensate intermittently from a steam containing enclosure while remaining tight to live steam.
Feature
- Water sealed against steam loss
Discharge valve is water sealed. Steam does not reach it.
- Operating against water hammer and hydraulic shock
Cage type water Hammer Resister can disperse water hammer or hydraulicshock wave and prevent the bucket from smashing against and damage themechanism.
- Long live service
Valve and seat are chrome steel hardened, ground and lapped. All the working parts are wear and corrosion resistant stainless steel.
- Continuous air and CO2 venting
Vent in top of bucket provides continuous automatic air venting and co2 venting at steam temperature.
- High back pressure operation
Since trap operation is governed solely by the difference in density of steam and water, back pressure in the return line has no effect on the ability of the trap to open for condensate and close against steam.
